Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 July 2026

This privacy policy describes which personal data is processed when you visit this website and use our forms, for what purpose, and on which legal basis. In short: this website sets no cookies, builds no usage profiles, and shows no ads.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Julina Pletziger
Fuchsstraße 16
47055 Duisburg
Germany

Email: hallo@get-joice.com

2. Hosting (Cloudflare Pages)

This website is hosted as a static site on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudflare").

When you access the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data in server log files – in particular your IP address, the time of access, and your user agent (browser and operating system identifier). This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability, for example to fend off attacks. We do not combine this log data with other data and do not build profiles from it.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably). Where data is transferred to the USA: Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF); in addition, standard contractual clauses (SCC) of the EU Commission are in place. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with Cloudflare.

3. Cloudflare Web Analytics

For reach measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. The service works without cookies: no cookies are set and no personal usage profiles are created; only aggregated metrics (for example page views and load times) are evaluated.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used). Since no cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 of the German TDDDG is required – which is why you won't see a cookie banner here.

4. Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection)

We protect our forms (waitlist and contact form) against automated access (spam) with Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile uses technical signals from your browser and your IP address to check whether a request comes from a human – without cookies and without user tracking. The Turnstile script is only loaded once you interact with a form.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting our forms against abuse). The provider is Cloudflare (see section 2); DPF and standard contractual clauses also apply to transfers to the USA here.

5. Waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we process your email address, your chosen language (German/English), the time of signup, and the confirmation status. The sole purpose is to inform you about the launch of joice.

Signup uses double opt-in: you first receive a confirmation email, and your signup only becomes effective once you click the confirmation link. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The data is stored with Supabase (Supabase, Inc.) in the Frankfurt am Main region (EU). Emails are sent via Resend (Resend, Inc., USA); the transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses respectively. Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exist with both providers.

You can withdraw your consent at any time – via the unsubscribe link in our emails or informally by writing to hallo@get-joice.com. We will then delete your entry promptly. Entries that are not confirmed within 30 days are deleted automatically.

6. Contact form and contact by email

If you write to us via the contact form, we process your name, your email address, and your message solely to answer your request. The details are forwarded to us directly as an email (sent via Resend, see section 5) and are not stored in a database. The same applies if you write to us directly by email.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request is aimed at a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering requests). We delete the correspondence once your matter has been conclusively resolved and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.

7. Your rights

With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights:

  • access (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

You can withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). An informal email to hallo@get-joice.com is enough to exercise your rights.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

8. No cookies, no tracking – and changes to this policy

This website sets no cookies, uses no third-party tracking or advertising services, and embeds no ads. We also host our fonts ourselves – when you visit this website, no connections to Google Fonts or other font services are made.

We will update this privacy policy if the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies; you can find the date of the last update at the top of this page.
